The Bomb Farm August 30 update explains permanent Birth Rank, changes how fusion results inherit binding, fixes Star Ritual confirmation, and reduces the graphics memory needed to load the game.
Published on August 30, 2026 at 17:01 UTC, this update affects hero comparisons, combining rewards, and startup freezes. Check these changes before choosing whom to keep or spending materials.
Fusion can turn bound materials into an unbound result
Item and hero fusion now creates an unbound result regardless of whether the five materials were Soulbound. You still need to meet the other rarity and Market-access requirements to send that result to Steam.
Two exceptions matter: a hero opened from a Soulbound Cage stays bound, and the Star Ritual continues upgrading the existing hero. It does not create the new result covered by this change.
Before spending materials to make something tradable, compare your plan with the Market eligibility table.
A Birth Rank letter will not rise with upgrades
The new explanation evaluates natural attributes within each rarity and averages their quality into E, D, C, B, A, or S. The letter is permanent, even when the hero gains levels, equipment, allocated points, or stars.
The practical consequence is simple: judge the hero's actual attributes and rarity before comparing letters. A Common S does not automatically outrank a Mythic E. The Birth Rank guide includes the developer's bands and frequencies.
Star Ritual confirmation should now finish the upgrade
Previously, the hero's clickable area could overlap the confirmation button and cancel a selection. The developer adjusted the hit areas in the Ritual and result panels.
After a successful Star Ritual, check that the hero has gained the star and that three Gems and the displayed Gold cost have been deducted. If a click appears to do nothing, inspect the result before repeating it.

Lower memory use at startup
The developer reports reducing startup graphics memory from approximately 1.7 GB to 519 MB, and arena memory before the current world loads from approximately 755 MB to 22 MB.
The game now loads the environment for the world being played instead of keeping all five biomes loaded. Those are developer measurements, not a guaranteed reduction on every computer. The notes say visual quality, filtering, and smoothing have been preserved.
If your earlier session froze while loading, install the update and try again before lowering visual settings. Continued problems need your hardware details and the point where the game stalls; this patch does not prove every freeze has the same cause.
