Equipment, fusion, and the Star Ritual

In Bomb Farm, use the Forge to improve equipment, fusion to create a new item or hero from materials, and the Star Ritual to add a star to an existing hero. These Ritual operations have different results and trading rules.

Choose the operation before selecting materials

Equipment upgrades range from +0 to +15. Check the selected item, upgrade level, and current Forge cost before confirming.

The Forge screen shows the blacksmith, an equipment selection slot, and a row of upgraded gear.

What changed for fusion on August 30

Items and heroes created through Ritual fusion no longer inherit Soulbound status from the five materials. The result is created unbound, even when rewarded materials went into the fusion.

An unbound result is not automatically ready to sell. The developer explicitly says that rarity and Market-access requirements still apply. Check those conditions before fusing something solely because you want to transfer the result to Steam.

The item fusion room contains five material pedestals and an inventory row beneath the Ritual panel.

Before confirming fusion, make sure none of the five materials is equipment you need on the working squad. If two items look alike, inspect their details instead of relying on the icon alone.

The Star Ritual keeps the same hero

The August 30 update fixed an overlapping clickable area that could cancel a Star Ritual selection when you pressed confirmation. After a successful confirmation, the hero receives the star, three Gems are consumed, and Gold is deducted.

The Star Ritual upgrades a hero you already have. It does not create a new one or receive the fusion change that removes inherited binding.

A Soulbound Cage also follows its own rule: opening it still produces a Soulbound hero. Adding a star does not turn that character into a fusion result.

Check the result before your next action

After a Ritual, inspect the resulting card. Confirm the upgrade or star, check the remaining materials, and read Soulbound status if you intend to trade. If the confirmation does not behave as expected, update the client and recheck the result before trying again.
